Detailed Site Rules
- This site uses the standard DCI tournament rules except for the following exceptions:
- There are no set round time limits. You have as much time as you need to complete your match, barring you complete the match before the number of days the tournament specifies.
- Dexterity cards turn into untargeted, single card effects. For example, when you activate Chaos Orb, you can choose a single permanent to destroy.
- Specific play disputes should be emailed to rules@mtgtournaments.com, or join the Chat Room.
- All tournaments are done as single elimination tournaments.
- Round pairings are emailed out to each player at the beginning of each round. This email contains contact information for your opponent.
- Players are encouraged to play via trusted medium, such as Magic Workstation. This program logs all plays, so if a dispute arises, a record can be provided. You can also play with any other method you like, such as in person or with apprentice.
- After the players have played their match, the winner must report the match via the "Report Round" link on the website tournament page.
- If a round is not reported before the round time expires, (usually a week), the match will be declared a draw and both players dropped from the tournament.
- When the winner reports the round, an email will be sent to the loser, with a confirmation link in it. The loser of the match should confirm the round result with the link provided. If the player does not confirm the match before the ending of the round time limit, the round will automatically be confirmed.
